Equality sounds wonderful, until you meet actual people. Politicians love talking about equality. Tax the billionaires. Tax wealth. Tax property. Tax inheritance. Tax investment. But here’s the uncomfortable problem: Human beings aren’t equal. We should absolutely have equal rights, equal dignity, and equal treatment under the law. But equal outcomes?
