You probably already know if you do it too. You press a finger into your ankle or the front of your shin and you hold it for a second and you let go. And the dent stays. Needs to confirm that you are not imagining the heaviness. That there is something physically there. There is something physically there. I did that test to myself for two years before anyone gave me a real explanation for what it meant. I had asked. Believe me I had asked. I was told it was probably nothing. Told to drink more water.
