Today I made a handmade pendant for a girl. When she told me what it meant — I quit my job. 🤯 My name’s David. I’ve been working as a jeweller in a London shop for six and a half years. Just an employee — never had enough money to open my own workshop. I’ve heard all sorts of stories over the years, but what happened today was on another level. A customer walks in — ordinary British girl, name’s Emily. She asks me to make a handmade pendant: Zeus from Gates of Olympus. I smirked and asked straight out: “You serious? Are you hooked on slots or something? Ordering jewellery in honour of the place where your whole salary disappears?” She didn’t even smile. Just looked at me properly and started talking. What she said properly floored me. She wasn’t a gambling addict. She’d just play now and then for a bit of fun. Then her life completely fell apart: lost her job, debt collectors from Barclays ringing every day about an overdraft she couldn’t cover, boyfriend left her. Applied for Universal Credit, but the paperwork was an absolute nightmare. And then one night, right in the middle of all that chaos, she opened the app… and hit a massive win. Something huge that cleared every single debt and literally pulled her out of the hole. Zeus became her symbol of a second chance. That’s why she wanted the pendant — to remember it. While I was working on the design she just quietly said: “I won £32,000 that night.” I went quiet for a second, just stared at the future pendant, then carried on working. We got talking really easily, like we’d known each other for years. When the pendant was finished she sent me a WhatsApp link to the app Royal-Olympus and said: “James, luck strikes like lightning when you least expect it.” She left. I went outside for a cigarette. Out of pure curiosity I downloaded the app. I was only going to put £20 on to try it, but I saw the 100% bonus on the first deposit. Thought — alright, if I put £40 in I’ll get £80 to play with. Why not. Deposited £40. Bal
