I’ll be honest, I’m beyond tired of those "I won big, my life is perfect" stories you see all over social media. Every single day it’s the same rubbish. Someone grinning at their phone with massive numbers on the screen. Yeah… pull the other one. I live a very "normal" life, if you can even call it that. Everything is on my shoulders. I work from dawn until nearly midnight just to chip away at a massive loan I’ve had for years. By the time I get home, my three little angels are waiting for me, and after getting them sorted, I’m left wondering the same thing every month: "Are we actually going to make it to payday?" The pressure is constant. The other day, on my way to work, I saw a massive EURO JACKPOT advert on a billboard. I just rolled my eyes. I thought, "The state of the world… another scam for desperate people." But then I got to work, and the girls in the breakroom were all buzzing about it. They were showing off winnings—£500, £800, even a grand. I thought they’d lost the plot, playing some silly mobile game for "toy money." One of them asked if I’d tried my luck yet, and I just laughed. I told them I wasn't interested in "virtual points." Then she showed me her actual banking app. I went dead quiet. I just whispered, "Well, some people have all the luck, don't they?" When I got home and finally got the kids to sleep, I was scrolling through my phone and there it was again. That same ad. I actually said out loud, "Oh, here we go..." I don’t know why I clicked. Curiosity? Or maybe I was just exhausted from feeling stuck in the mud.
