Hi everyone, my name’s Holly, I’m 35, and I’m from Manchester — just a regular part of town called Moss Side. I work as a hairdresser in a small salon on Wilmslow Road. I spend 9–10 hours a day cutting, colouring, and washing people’s hair. My hands are constantly dry from all the chemicals, my back aches, and by the end of the day my feet are killing me. I make about £1,750 a month if I’m lucky with tips. I’ve got a son, Tyler. He’s 9 years old. His dad’s been out of the picture for years — he left when Tyler was just two. The bank calls have basically become my alarm clock — every single day. Sometimes twice a day. I’m scared to answer the phone now. At night I lie awake thinking, “What happens if I get sick? Or if Tyler suddenly needs something? What am I supposed to do?” Sometimes I sit in the bathroom and cry so my son won’t see me. I’m so ashamed. I’m supposed to be a strong mum for him, but instead I feel like I’ve completely failed. That day, I went to pick Tyler up from a friend’s house. We were walking towards the bus stop when he suddenly froze and shouted, “Mum! Mum! Look at that car! Please take a picture of me with it!” I turned around and saw a bright yellow Porsche GT3 RS. It looked inc
