Every tournament structure gets the same GSI Score. That score never changes. But players don’t all want the same thing. Some want deep stacks and long levels. Others want to play faster. Some only play freezeouts, others prefer re-entry formats. The structure that suits one player doesn’t suit the next — and no rating in the world can settle that argument, because it isn’t a rating question. That’s why we built My Playstyle. It’s a personal layer, not a second score. A player sets six preferences — freezeout, limited re-entry, unlimited re-entry, starting stack, level duration, late registration — and GSI shows which structures match those preferences. The separation matters, and it’s architectural rather than editorial: preferences never feed back into the scoring engine. One structure, one score, identical for everyone. What changes is your view of the ranking, not the ranking itself. Most rating systems blur this line. They let user preferences bend the score, and end up measuring nothing in particular.
