🛑My name is Daniel Harris , and I'm 47 years old. I was born in the city of Exeter in Devon, but for more than ten years now I've been living in Bristol with my wife Sophie. We've been together for seven years and married for almost five. Sophie works as a beauty consultant at Boots in Cabot Circus, while I work as a truck driver, delivering goods across the South West of England and Wales.🛑 Our life was pretty ordinary. We rented a comfortable two-bedroom flat in Clifton for £1,180 a month. We usually did our shopping at Sainsbury's, sometimes Morrisons, and when we wanted to save a bit, Aldi. Once a year we'd take a short trip to Cornwall or the Cotswolds. We weren't wealthy, but we got by comfortably. The only thing we truly wanted was a child. For almost four years we tried to become parents. Endless tests, appointments, treatments, and medications. Eventually, a doctor at a private fertility clinic in Bristol told us directly: *"Unfortunately, your chances of conceiving naturally are very low. You should consider IVF."* We hesitated for a long time, but eventually decided to go ahead. The first IVF cycle cost us £4,900 and failed. The second cost another £4,100. In total, we spent nearly £9,000. Part of it came from a loan through NatWest, and the rest from our savings. *"If this helps us become parents, it'll be worth every penny,"* Sophie always said. Thankfully, the second attempt worked. When the doctor confirmed the pregnancy, he immediately warned us: *"The first trimester is critical. Avoid stress and get as much rest as possible."* We were over the moon. But just a few months later, everything changed. The logistics company I worked for lost several major contracts. Routes were reduced, and so were my earnings. I used to bring home around £3,100–£3,300 a month with bonuses included. Now I was barely making £2,200–£2,400. At the same time, our expenses kept rising. The IVF loan. The payment plan for nursery furniture. Rent. Utility
