We basically got our own house in Ireland starting with just €50. 🏠 I’m Emma. This is me and Liam. We live in a small town in Co. Kildare, about an hour outside Dublin. For years it felt like we were just working and paying bills. Long days, high rent, nothing left at the end of the month.I work full time in a GP as a receptionist. Liam is a mechanic in a local garage. Together we take home around 4500 after tax. On paper it sounds grand. In real life it’s rent, childcare, groceries, petrol, electricity. After 1750 for our small two-bed there’s barely anything left. Saving for a deposit felt like a joke.We always talked about one day buying a little three-bed semi in our town. Somewhere with a small garden and a front door that actually has our name on it. But houses here go for around 360k. Even a 10% deposit was miles away. Every time we opened Daft.ie I ended up crying on the sofa. One evening we got another letter saying the rent was going up again. We were sitting there in silence watching RTÉ. They had a piece about a woman from Galway who used some app and nearly paid off her mortgage. It sounded mad but it stuck in my head.Later that night I went onto the RTÉ Facebook page and started reading the comments. Hundreds of people from all over Ireland posting wins. 18k, 45k, one couple said they made over 200k and cleared everything. I didn’t know what to think but I couldn’t stop scrolling. For a few days me and Liam went back and forth. We were both pure sceptical but at the same time we felt like we had nothing left to lose. In the end we said we’d try it once with 50 euro and that was it.Next morning while Liam was still asleep I clicked one of the links. Landed on this wheel thing, spun it once and it stopped on a big bonus. Three grand. I just stared at the screen thinking this has to be a wind-up.I registered, put in the 50 and got the full welcome bonus plus 150 free spins. When Liam woke up we sat at the kitchen table and opened the games people were talkin
