I did a tattoo and quit my job 🤯 Right lads, for those who don’t know me: my name’s James Harris and I’ve been a tattoo artist for six and a half years down here in crazy Brighton. I’ve seen it all in my time. We’re a passionate bunch, so I’ve heard my fair share of drama sitting in my chair. But what happened today is absolutely bonkers. She looks at me dead serious and tells me a story that actually gave me goosebumps. She says no, she’s not a gambling addict. She used to just have a little flutter for a laugh. But then her life went totally pear-shaped. Up to her eyeballs in debt, bailiffs constantly breathing down her neck, her bloke had dumped her... she’d hit rock bottom and was seriously thinking of ending it all. And then, on the darkest, most rubbish night of her life, she was just on this app... and hit an absolutely mental win! A massive payout that literally wiped her debts clean and dragged her by the scruff of the neck out of that hellhole. She told me that this Zeus, for her, is the ultimate symbol of a second chance. While I was doing the ink, we were nattering away like we’d known each other for donkey's years. At the end, she pings me the link to this app and goes: "Mate, luck strikes like a lightning bolt exactly when you least expect it." Anyway, we finish up the session and she shoots off. I nip outside for a quick ciggy. It’s absolutely boiling, the sun is blinding. I open the app out of pure curiosity and stick a couple of quid on it. Give it a spin: zilch. Second spin: bugger all.
