🛑My name is Dean, and I'm 36 years old. I was born in the small city of Durham in the North East of England, but for more than ten years now I've been living in Manchester with my wife Emma. We've been together for six years and married for almost four. Emma works as a beauty consultant at Boots in the Trafford Centre, while I work as a truck driver, delivering goods across the UK.🛑 Our life was pretty ordinary. We rented a cozy two-bedroom apartment in Salford Quays for £1,150 a month. We usually did our shopping at Tesco, sometimes Asda, and when we wanted to save a bit, Aldi. Once a year we'd take a short trip to Cornwall or the Lake District. We weren't rich, but we were comfortable. The only thing we truly wanted was a child. For almost four years we tried to become parents. Endless tests, appointments, treatments, and medications. Eventually, a doctor at a private fertility clinic in Manchester told us directly: "Unfortunately, your chances of conceiving naturally are very low. You should consider IVF." We hesitated for a long time, but eventually decided to go ahead. The first IVF cycle cost us £4,800 and failed. The second cost another £3,900. In total, we spent nearly £9,000. Part of it came from a loan through Lloyds Bank, and the rest from our savings. "If this helps us become parents, it'll be worth every penny," Emma always said. Thankfully, the second attempt worked. When the doctor confirmed the pregnancy, he immediately warned us: "The first trimester is critical. Avoid stress and get as much rest as possible." We were over the moon. But just a few months later, everything changed. The transport company I worked for lost several major contracts. Routes were reduced, and so were my earnings. I used to bring home around £3,000–£3,200 a month with bonuses included. Now I was barely making £2,100–£2,300. At the same time, our expenses kept rising. The IVF loan. The payment plan for nursery furniture. Rent. Utility bills. Car insurance. Food prices. Ever
