I could go on about the benefits of slow stitching all day but it really is something you have to try out for yourself to understand what I mean. It’s the repetition of the stitches that’s so hypnotic. Your mind that was full of worry and thoughts starts to relax and just focus on the here and now and what you’re making. You gain confidence in what you’re creating over time and start to play around with different techniques and mediums and really let that inner creative out. You realise that it actually doesn’t matter what your pages look like, after all they’re for your eyes only and so it’s the process of making each one that’s so important. It’s how you felt at the time you were putting those collages together and how much that time switching off from everything helped with your well being. You can discover these feelings too, start from the simplest of stitches and build up your expertise over time. You can come along to one of my Sewcial Club sessions and use my materials to start creating in your own journal or buy a kit, ready made journal or just the online tutorial to make your own. Whichever way I can help and guide you and get you started. Everything you need to know is in my website in the Workshop section 🔗👆 I’d love it if you became part of my Creative Club world so please do follow along and find out more about what I do 🪡🧵 (If you’re loving these gorgeous stickers from @taperolgy then why not get 15% off your order with my code.
