😕 My boyfriend stole £8,000 from me. My name’s Emily, I’m from Manchester. I’ve been with my boyfriend, Jack, for almost three years. He’s always had a thing for gambling — football bets, casino slots, the occasional poker night with his mates. Most of the time he kept it reasonable… until he didn’t. I’d spent nearly two years scraping together £8,000. Days I worked as an admin in an office in the city centre, evenings I pulled shifts at Costa near Piccadilly Station. Weekends I’d do freelance graphic design jobs just to top up the pot. The money was for our first proper holiday together — somewhere sunny, far away from the British rain. Every pound saved felt like a little victory. Then one morning I checked my banking app… and the money was gone. Jack had disappeared too, phone off. I was about to ring the police when he finally came home that evening, buzzing with energy. “Emi, just listen to me before you go mental,” he said with that stupid grin. Turns out he’d put the entire £8,000 into an online platform. I was furious… until he showed me the balance: over £50,000. He casually transferred my original eight grand back like it was nothing. But the longer I stared at that number on his screen, the more the excitement got to me. “That money wouldn’t even be there without me,” I told him. “So half of those winnings are mine.” He just laughed. From that day on, we started playing together. I signed up myself, put in a bit of my own money to test the waters… and lost it straight away. Meanwhile Jack kept cashing out nice little wins. I was proper annoyed. Tried again — lost again. So I decided to actually learn how the site worked. Discovered you could buy bonus rounds. One evening, feeling reckless, I made a final deposit and went for it. And that’s when everything changed. Within minutes the bonuses started hitting — £90 here, £140 there, then bigger ones. In less than twenty minutes I was up over £900. I cashed out immediately, and the money landed in my account
