6 YEARS DOING AMAZON FLEX.📦 SAME BLOODY AREA EVERY DAY. THEN ONE DAY EVERYTHING JUST WENT MENTAL. Name’s Elliot. I’m 34. I’m from Norfolk. Little dump called Swaffham. Dad drove lorries, mum cleaned houses. Nobody really gets outta there unless they get insanely lucky… or life backs ’em into a corner. Life backed me into one. Moved down south. Crawley. Had fuck all: no proper licence, no flat, no plan. Just an old Vauxhall Astra, a black box insurance tracker, and enough panic in me to keep moving. Started doing deliveries. 6 years on Amazon Flex. Same routes over and over — South East London. Tower Hamlets. Limehouse Causeway traffic every bloody morning. Soulless new-build flats. Some decent people. Some absolute nutters. Alarm goes off at 3:30am. Phone screaming in my ear and first thought is always: “fuck… hope I didn’t miss the block.” Tea bag’s been used about three times already. Stopped buying sugar months ago. By 4am I’m parked outside the depot in Dagenham. Place hums like a bloody hive. Queue full of blokes looking half-dead but pretending they’re alright. Everyone’s got the same look: “I’ll survive. Got no choice.” Open the app. Scan the code. Grab the trolley. Then the chaos starts. You get like 15 minutes to find every parcel. Miss one? You’re fucked. Wrong parcel? Customer complains. Too many complaints? Amazon boots you off the app like you never existed. I load up the Astra. 48 stops. Sometimes 52. Cat litter. Gym weights. Massive boxes from bloody Primark. Sometimes it feels like you’re delivering people’s entire lives. By 5:45 the Astra’s packed to the roof. Then off you go. Winter? Pitch black. Fog everywhere. Roads empty except minicabs and delivery drivers slowly losing their minds. And I’m doing all this in a 2010 Astra that sounds like it’s about to explode every time I start it. Doors barely lock. MOT feels like Russian roulette every year. Google Maps lies constantly. “6 minutes away” my arse. Meanwhile I’m stuc
