3 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE PLAYING KEYFORGE ONLINE If you’re coming from other digital card games, KeyForge breaks a few fundamental habits. 1. No Mana Systems: Cards don't have play costs. On your turn, you choose one of your deck’s three houses and can play, use, or discard any number of cards belonging to that house. Tempo comes down to turn sequencing, not resource management. 2. KeyForge is a Race: Players don’t have life totals. Combat is important to clear threats, but you need to balance that with racing to gather Æmber. The first player to gather enough Æmber to forge three keys wins the game. 3. No Netdecking: Every deck is algorithmically generated and cannot be altered There’s no tier-1 list to copy-paste or “best in slot” system to craft from. You’re forced to evaluate your unique 36-card deck and figure out how to win with it on the fly.
