Living my best life at 25 — with my family and without relying on my parents. My husband and I live in Cork, and by the age of 25 we already have a place of our own — a cosy two-bedroom flat. We took out a mortgage three years ago and not long ago we managed to pay it off completely. We did it all on our own, without any financial help from our parents. In fact, now it’s us who like to surprise our parents with small gifts whenever we can. At the moment I’m at home with our little daughter while she’s still small. My husband works at the Apple campus here in Cork, and thankfully he’s found his place there and earns a decent living. But I want to share something that happened about two years ago. We came across an ad on Facebook for an app called Pot of Gold Games, and out of pure curiosity we decided to give it a go. We deposited just €10, simply to try it out. We started with a game featuring Greek gods and lightning. My husband suggested we keep the bets small at first — about €1 per spin. After about 20 minutes we checked the balance and it had grown to €340. We requested a withdrawal and, honestly, the money landed on our card within a few minutes.
